Heath Ledger broke hearts as Ennis Del Mar, the taciturn cowboy who maintains a secret 20-year affair with another man in 2005’s gay landmark, Brokeback Mountain.

Now Ledger is breaking hearts for real. He died Tuesday at the peak of his brief career. The 28-year-old actor’s naked body was found in a New York apartment by a housekeeper and a masseuse, according to police, who said signs point to suicide.

Brokeback, the cinematic groundbreaker directed by Ang Lee and co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal, was embraced by gay and straight moviegoers alike, collecting $83 million at the box office on a $14 million budget.

The tragic Western allowed the Aussie actor a chance to finally erase the teen-hunk label that he was saddled with ever since his breakthrough in 1999’s 10 Things I Hate About You, Disney’s high-school takeoff on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. Ledger not only earned respect for his work on Brokeback but also won an Oscar nomination for his efforts.

He also met and fell for his co-star Michelle Williams. The romance lasted long enough to produce daughter Matilda, now 2.

As for my personnal oppinion, I was shocked upon hearing this bad news frm my classmate this morning and even my teacher
confirmed that this comedy actor is alresy dead because of Drug overdose. We really can’t tell our
life here on earth if when, where or how we will die. So, let’s just pray for his soul and also for his
family.

    I attended our get together Christmas Party last December with some of my High School Batchmates. Actually, that was the first time that we tried to gather our batchmates after 3 years in college. At first, we the officers were hesitant to pursue the activity because we were thinking that no one will attend. But God is so good because He did not let it to happen.

    As I was friendster-hopping, i saw one of our picture taken on that night! i just hope and pray that we could have a more planned and successful reunion for next year.

    Today is Monday! A good day to start for my sister because this is her first day of duty in our local government hospital in Mlang. She applied as one of volunteer nurses with her other high school classmates, kuya Antoy and Ate Yvette. Actually, I just received a call from my mom and she told me everything about ate joy’s first day in the hospital.

    They had just their orientaton this morning and after it they are assigned to a specific areas. According to my mom, my sister is assigned in the Nurse’s Station 1 while Ate Yvette is in Nurse’s staion 2 and Kuya Antoy is assigned  in he OPD.

    Sis, I wish you good luck! I hope that weeks from now, you will be MARY JUCYL V. GEGUINTO, RN.

Finally, it was announced last night that RUBEN GONZAGA of Davao City is the new Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edidtion 2.

The new Big Wiiner is so lucky. Many would say that this man lived a very simple life in Davao, in fact he is not yet married with his live-in partner before he entered Kuya’s house but also because of big brother he was given the opportunity to proposed via television and to have a memorable wedding with his girl. They also had a gift from Ethel, a trip for two in Hongkong as their honeymoon. I believed that our life is like a wheel, sometimes we are on top and sometimes we are at the bottom. Like ruben’s life, He was in the bottom of the wheel but opportunity comes and now we can see him happy on top of the wheel. We just need to strive and pray that someday we will be like Ruben.

    We are still in the month of January but as early as this month,I can feel the excitement because of our upcoming reunion on December! yeah, you heard me right  friends, December pa po ang aming reunion pero sobrang excited na ako if what would gonna happen if that day will come.

    I’m hoping that many of my batchmates will come as we celebrate our four years of stepping out in the four corners of our school in back then. Now, that we are college students we know the fact that our life now is not as easy as our life in high school. More pressures inside and outside the school and expectations from parents and friends but we have no choice but to face everyday with a smile and pray that a day is to be great!
